A Bollywood night out at the movies required a speedy dinner at a restaurant in Chatswood, so we headed straight for Terrazza!
Between the five of us, we decided to pick a few dishes and share, and we eventually settled on two pizzas and a pasta dish. A couple of us had been there before, which helped when looking at the expansive menu, as there were so many mouth-watering pizza and pasta options! For the pasta dish, we picked the Penne Genovese, which had penne pasta with chicken in a creamy basil pesto sauce with semi-sundried tomatoes. It was tasty and light, with the rich green colour a striking contrast to the two pizzas, and pointing to the prominence of the basil flavour. As for the pizzas, going along with the basil theme, we went with the Pesto Pollo, which was topped with chicken fillet, fresh tomato, Spanish onion, mozzarella cheese & basil pesto on a Napoletana base. The base was perfectly cooked, and the toppings divine, but I personally didn’t like the onion, which was slightly overpowering, so I took it off. We also grabbed the Margherita, which once again had lots of fresh basil, and of course, mozzarella cheese, garlic, and napoletana sauce. The cheese oozed out of each slice, and was creamy and rich, which was lovely!
We were seated really promptly despite not having a reservation, but as it was on a weeknight, the restaurant wasn’t too busy, making it a great time to dine! Despite it not being the best of weather, we were still able to sit outside because of the handy covered area surrounding the restaurant, which was really nice. All of the dishes came out so quickly, which was great, as we only had an hour to eat, but they were all made to perfection, and placed on top of plastic holders and elevated so that everyone on the table could reach each dish. We got our drinks (the classic Lemon, Lime and Bitters) almost straightaway, and the servers were quick to settle the bill for us afterwards as well.
A definite must for a quick Italian dinner before seeing a movie at Hoyts, or before any other outing in Chatswood! All up, split between the five of us, we paid about $20 each, so it’s a little on the pricey side if you pay by yourself, but bring some friends and share a couple of dishes and it’ll be worthwhile! I’ve also been to this restaurant for a party with a much larger group, which was equally as good of an experience, so I’d recommend it strongly for all kinds of dining experiences!
