After an active morning, we were craving burgers to appease the grumbling stomach, and hence decided to drop by Ribs & Burgers at Rhodes. Our last memory here involved a lovely surprise birthday party for a close friend, and we were curious to see how we’d find the food in isolation from the party environment.
With minimal hesitation, I went for the Original Burger, which consists of a beef mince patty, shredded iceberg, tomato, Spanish onion dill, pickles and their pink & BBQ sauce. From the moment I opened the box to take a photo, an incredible smell wafted up to my nose, and I didn’t want to wait, which is always a great first impression. The rest of the burger did not disappoint. The rather unique sauce gave the burger a creamy texture, which complemented the patty perfectly, and the seeded bun is one that seems to have gone a bit out of fashion, but just adds to the texture and taste.
Ribs & Burgers took the time to design their interior. Whether it’s the artwork on the walls, or the buckets that house the utensils, you can tell that thought has gone into this process. There is plenty of seating available, including booth seating at the back, however make sure to take advantage of the outdoor scenery if it’s a nice day! The staff were friendly and we didn’t have to wait too long for our burgers to arrive either.
For roughly $10, you wouldn’t expect much more than what Ribs & Burgers offers. The restaurant is nice, the staff are welcoming and, most importantly, the burger was tasty and filling. If you’re ever craving a burger, Ribs & Burgers is definitely a solid option, and we will be returning in the future to sample their ribs.
