The Sweet Spot

After a long day of shopping at the factory outlets in 43 degree heat, we needed a nice lunch, so we headed to The Sweet Spot in Waterloo!

Food:
Both of us had beef burgers, and it was probably one of the best burgers we’ve had! The beef burger had onion, tomato, cheese, beetroot, onion jam, tomato relish and mixed lettuce, and was fresh and flavoursome, and great for a hot day! The bun was also very firm and didn’t become soggy despite the salad ingredients, which was really great as well! Each of the meals came with chips, but they were a little too salty, so for next time, we’d get them with less salt.

I also grabbed a caramel cheesecake slice for dessert, but it melted in the heat, and was a bit more like caramel slice than cheesecake, and slightly too sweet for my liking. My sister had a blueberry muffin which she found super delicious, so I’d love to try some of their cakes and other treats, which looked amazing!

Ambience:
There was ample seating inside and outside the cafe, but for a hot day, pick a table near the fans. The chairs were really quirky, and had pedals that were reminiscent of a unicycle – so cool and a great photo opportunity! Service was really fast, and the staff were very friendly.

Overall:
If you’re ever in the Waterloo area, be sure to go in and have a look, and grab a bite to eat, or a dessert or sweet treat. They also have another location in Randwick, so check that out as well!
