After a morning of Christmas shopping at Toy Ryde City, we took a brief stop for lunch and a coffee at Coffee Trad3rs!
Based on our waitress’s recommendations, we ordered three dishes to share, which were all amazingly delicious! First up was the Traders Classic Beef Burger, which is made with low fat mince, and garnished with lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, beetroot, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce.
The patty was so juicy and tender, and all of the components made the burger flavourful and fresh! The soft bun really complemented the fillings, and it was served with a side of herb fries, which were loved for their crunchiness and seasoning by everyone at the table.
We then had a Chicken Chorizo Roll, which had a chicken chorizo sausage, rocket, tomato and red pepper salsa. This was also very tasty, with plenty of spice and flavour to the chorizo, and it was a great size for sharing! We ordered this meal with a side salad of tomato, olives and rocket, which was slightly too salty for my liking, but added a fresh component to the dish.
Finally, we finished off the meal with one of their unique pancakes. They have a range of flavours ranging from apple and cinnamon to coconut and pineapple, but we opted for the Banana and Caramel. This was comprised of two buttermilk pancakes with crushed banana, served with ice cream, caramel sauce, strawberry and sliced fresh banana.
This was the highlight of the day, as the pancakes were light and fluffy with just the right texture, and the caramel was rich without being overly sweet, forming a great combination with the fresh fruit and ice cream. It was such a decadent treat, and a must-try!
We also ordered a couple of drinks to go with the pancakes. I had a Punjabi chai tea, which was served in a cute teapot with a mug and saucer, so I was able to wait for it to brew to just the right strength before pouring. It was lightly spiced and very rich – a great cup of tea to complement the heavier pancakes.
We also ordered a weak skim flat white, which is made using Pablo and Rusty’s signature beans. The coffee art was truly beautiful, and we really appreciated the artistry of the presentation! It was a great blend for people who love a rich coffee taste without the full strength of a regular cup of coffee.
Coffee Trad3rs is located at the end of the outdoor dining or Piazza area within the Top Ryde City shopping centre. The interior decor is very well put together, with signature pieces such as a full length mirror, wall shelves and a couch with quirky pillows – one reading ‘Mr Right’ and another reading ‘Mrs Always Right.’
There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside the cafe, and orders are placed at the counter up the front, and brought out to your chosen table. The food does take some time to prepare, but it’s well worth the wait, and the exceptional quality more than makes up for it. The cafe also transforms into a bar in the evenings, and is open late for cocktails, beer and wine, so drop in and check that out!
We were really impressed with all of the meals at Coffee Trad3rs, and everything, from mains to dessert, was equally as delicious! Their burgers and rolls are absolutely amazing, but you can’t go wrong with some of their signature pancakes, so grab a coffee and a set of their Banana and Caramel pancakes for a decadent treat!
Note: Khana dined as a guest of Coffee Trad3rs and CPM Online Marketing. Thanks so much to Claire for organising the visit!
