Sushi Bay

To satisfy our sudden craving for sushi, we decided to try Sushi Bay in Parramatta. Situated right next to Westfield Shopping Centre, Sushi Bay is perfectly located for lunch and we were very excited to see what dishes it could offer up.

Food:
Sushi Bay has an incredibly impressive variety of food options for a sushi train and, in the end, we went for four options. First was the grilled salmon aburi, which was quite delicious – we loved the seared flavour and the freshness of the salmon and would definitely order this again.

After a lovely opener, we went for some ‘standard’ options in the tuna and cucumber roll, as well as a salmon and avocado sushi with black rice. Both of these were well made and had a consistent flavour that was also quite filling. Finally, we decided to try something a bit more unique in the rice paper roll with salmon sashimi and avocado. This was incredibly fresh and was a delight from start to finish – the flavour definitely contrasted with the sushi that we had just have and was a great finish to the meal.

Ambience:
Sushi Bay has a lovely interior, with floor to ceiling glass windows. The service was very friendly and seemed to be prompt for others who were ordering items. There is plenty of seating, both in a standard ‘bench’ format for the sushi train and also in mini tables.

Overall:
If you are ever in the Parramatta area and looking for a fresh, healthy meal, drop by Sushi Bay. With a very wide range of food available that includes much more than just sushi, you are sure to find something that will satisfy you.
