For a quick lunch after uni, we took a trip to Rosebery in search of some yeeros or Greek Kebabs, and found ourselves at Zeus!
We decided to order the Uncle Tzimmy’s pita, with lamb, tomato, tzatziki, onion, paprika and chips, wrapped in a fluffy pita bread. The highlight of all of Zeus’ yeeros is the pita – it’s so soft and fluffy, and slightly thicker than usual wrap bread, but so delicious! The filling was also well seasoned with the paprika, and the chips added a great touch.
If you’re not a lover of chips in your yeeros, they’re happy to serve them on the side if you ask! We also had a side of haloumi, which was grilled to perfection and had great herb seasoning, but a bit difficult to finish between two after the yeeros.
Zeus is located a short bus ride away from UNSW, and is in a bustling ‘eat street’ with plenty of other outlets nearby. Orders are placed at the counter, and you have your food delivered to your table, which is nice and efficient. There’s lots of seating inside, but we chose a table outside to soak up the sunshine. You can even bring your pooch along to the outside tables, as there are bowls of water available for them as well!
Zeus has an amazing range of Greek yeeros and sides, and their lamb and pitas are to die for! Be sure to check them out in one of their four locations, and they’re opening soon in the CBD as well.
