Social Hideout’s amazing breakfast boards have recently been complemented by a delicious new breakfast menu, so we ventured out to Parramatta on a sunny spring day for some great eats!
Food and Drinks:
On our last visit, we discovered two incredible juices that we ordered once again – the Green Shrek and the Zing. The Green Shrek, a combination of kale, apple, spinach, celery and lemon, was perfect for the sweet and rich breakfast options that we chose, and a great start to the morning. The Zing, which combined orange, carrot, ginger and tumeric, was again enjoyed by my mum as well.
For food, we went for two of their new dishes – the Avocado Smash, and the French Toast! The avocado smash had a generous helping of avocado, tomato and feta, and we really enjoyed the freshness of the dish. The eggs on top were gooey and runny and complemented the avocado really nicely. The French Toast was the star of the day – a dish that looked as beautiful as it tasted! It came out adorned with flower petals and fresh fruit, and had the right mix of a crunchy outer crust and melted inside, with a syrupy drizzle adding some sweetness to the dish.
We loved sitting outside last time, and on such a sunny day, we couldn’t resist another al-fresco table. The beautiful greenery provided some much needed shade, and we were happy to see that the cafe was buzzing, with lots of locals coming in for their weekly brunch, and plenty of families as well. Service was quick and friendly, and the owner was an excellent host, with lots of care for his customers.
The new breakfast menu perfectly enhances Social Hideout’s existing unique brekky options by adding some familiar favourites. Both of the dishes we had were exceptional and very enjoyable, and we left feeling very satisfied!
