If you’re looking for some fast but fancy dining, head to Steel Bar and Grill for their Sydney Festival Menu, which runs until the 29th of January! The fare is a two course meal with matching wines, and we opted for an entree and main. To start, we had the tempura zucchini flowers, which were divine, and the combo of ricotta, truffle and feta in the filling is a dream for cheese lovers! The confit calamari were also really tender and tasty with the rum and lime dressing.
For our mains, we couldn’t go past the Oakey Reserve black angus sirloin – it was such a highlight, a perfect medium rare and so well seasoned. There are some great veggie options on the menu and the parmesan gnocchi didn’t disappoint – it was so soft and more-ish! To drink, we paired our meal with the 2014 Spinning Top Sauvignon Blanc, which was crisp and fresh. This is a perfect date night spot, and a great way to start your Festival experience. We’ll definitely be back to try the full menu and for more of the delicious steak!!
