Holy Duck is an amazing homage to a delicious meat, so we had to check them out at their Kensington Street venue and try their food for ourselves! We decided to opt for three of their dishes – the Tender Braised Pork Belly with spring onion pesto, the Ducken Delicious Pancakes, and the Buns of Squeal with a side of chips and salad.
The duck pancakes were really well balanced, with plenty of greens and a great complement of hoisin sauce to the crispy skinned roast duck. The bao buns were also a hit, with beautiful pork complemented by well seasoned fries. However, the real highlight was the braised pork belly, which was so tender and juicy, and fell apart to the touch – such a hearty and delicious dish!
There are plenty more great options on the menu, including duck burgers, a whole roasted duck and lotus root chips! Their pork is so irresistible as well though – so grab some friends and head on down to Holy Duck, and make sure you try a bit of both!
Note: Khana dined as a guest of Cardinal Spin and Holy Duck.
