Having enjoyed their incredible breakfast menu, for a weekday lunch, we drove to XS Espresso in North Parramatta! We started with the ‘From the XS Sea’ which was a beautiful pan-fried barramundi perfectly complemented by a zesty salad of green mango, cucumber, carrot, watercress and lime and a generous splash of chilli dressing. We also went for the Jims Back steak, which was artfully presented on a black board with a scatter of flower petals – almost to pretty to eat! It was perfectly cooked and a lovely medium rare, with plenty of seasoning and great accompaniments of roast potatoes and tomatoes.
Finally, we finished off with a cheeky sweet treat – the Belgian Soufflé, which was served warm and oozing with chocolate, alongside a scoop of ice-cream, fresh strawberries and banana pieces. It was so decadent and rich, but really delicious, and best shared between two! To complement our meal, we went for their cold-pressed apple and berry juices – a refreshing treat while you wait for your food! There’s so much else on offer, including giant milkshakes, delicious breakfast items and sweet treats, but you can’t go past their dessert!
